Flights to Koh Samui
The nearest airport is Koh Samui Airport (on the nearest island). It has frequent flights from Bangkok and Phuket. There are also daily flights from Singapore, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. You can buy express boat tickets to Thong Sala (the main pier of Koh Phangan) at Koh Samui Airport transportation counter.

Flights to Surat Thani (mainland)
You can also reach Koh Phangan from the mainland. The nearest airport is Surat Thani. From there you can take either a boat or a car ferry from Don Sak. Don Sak is located 65km east of Surat Thani Airport. Transfers are available from the airport by taxi or minibus.
Boats from Koh Samui
Chartered speedboats are available (seasonal). Two boat companies also operate daily: Seatran (from Big Buddha pier - 5 minutes from Samui airport) and Lomphraya Catamaran (from Maenam Beach pier or Nathon pier). The first boat leaves Koh Samui 8:00am, and the last leaves at 5:30pm. The journey takes around thirty minutes.

Boats from Surat Thani (mainland)
Lomprayah catamaran and Raja ferries are the main operators from Don Sak. The Lompraya catamaran leaves Don Sak twice a day and the Raja ferry operates Car Ferry boats 5 times a day.
