The island of Koh Phangan can only be accessed by sea.  Airport  – Seaplanes – Helicopters (Non-official) – currently conjecture.

The Four nearest Airports are: KOH SAMUI (Island) International & Domestic airport and SURAT THANI (Mainland) Domestic airport & NAKHON SI THAMMARAT (Mainland) Domestic airport- PHUKET (island on the west coast) International & Domestic airport

All airports offer connecting  taxi & boat services to the main Port of Thong Sala – Koh Phangan.

Plane & Helicopter Charters: Independent operators available online from Phuket – Bangkok and Hua Hin airport(s)  to Koh Samui, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat airport(s). (Not available direct  to Koh Phangan)

Trains : Some of our more adventurous guests have travelled by train – from Singapore via Kuala Lumpur in the south, as well as from Bangkok and Hua Hin in the north – before taking a connecting taxi and then a boat or ferry to Koh Phangan

Boats : Koh Samui to Koh Phangan: There are established independent boat operators offering their services online  , the quickest route takes 20 minutes by high speed catamaran.

Boats : Surat Thani & Nakhon Si Thammarat  to Koh Phangan: There are established independent boat & car ferry operators offering their services online.

• The high speed catamaran (via Koh Samui) takes approximately 90 Minutes.
• The car & passenger ferry takes approximately 2 hours & 30 minutes.

Chaloklum Fisherman Village is on the northern coast of Koh Phangan, with a 3 km beach framed by mountains. Still an active fishing village, it also offers beachfront bars and restaurants with both Thai and international cuisine. The flat landscape makes it especially easy for families and older visitors.

The Sunday Market/Walking Street is a highlight, popular with locals and guests alike. It feels much like Koh Samui’s Bophut Fisherman Village years ago and seems to be growing in the same way.

The smaller village of Mae Haad lies to the west, at a similar distance, and provides comparable services.
